Free In-Flight Entertainment on Delta

Starting July 1, 2016, prepare to be entertained on Delta flights – free of charge. Delta Studio, the airline’s industry-leading suite of onboard entertainment, will be free for all customers on two-class aircraft. With this announcement, Delta becomes the only U.S. airline to offer all in-flight entertainment for free.

Delta Studio offers up to 300 movies, 750 TV shows, 100 foreign film titles, 2,400 songs, 18 channels of live satellite TV on select aircraft and a selection of games on aircraft with seatback entertainment systems. Entertainment options will vary by aircraft type and route.

Delta operates the world’s largest in-flight entertainment-equipped fleet, with more than 1,000 aircraft offering Delta Studio via streaming through laptops, mobile devices and tablets, in addition to nearly 400 aircraft equipped with seatback entertainment systems.

Enhanced Premium Economy on Air France's 777s

  • Upgraded dining since September 2013 with a second hot dish. Finish your meal with a delicious ice cream.
  • Enhanced seat comfort with improved cushion and multi-position foot rest.
  • Improved In-flight Entertainment (IFE) with high definition picture quality, new easy-to-use interface and wider screens.

KLM Economy Comfort Expands

  • Economy Comfort now available on European flights operated by KLM B737s.
  • From November 1, 2013, Economy Comfort is available across KLM's entire European fleet including the Fokker 70 & Embraer 190 (except for AMS-CDG route).
  • KLM Economy Comfort provides extra recline, more legroom, and is in front of cabin.

Alitalia 

Alitalia Network Growth

  • Alitalia and Delta continue to operate two daily nonstop flights between JFK and Milan for the winter 2013–14 season. Both aircraft feature individual entertainment systems in all classes, and seats that convert to full flatbeds in Business Class. Schedules are staggered to offer travelers maximum flexibility and convenience.
  • Alitalia has continued its expansion of international routes despite the current macroeconomic situation and in 2013, inaugurated new flights from Rome to Prague, Bilbao, Copenhagen, Krakow, Montpellier, Oran, London City, Podgorica, and from Milan Linate airport to Vienna (in addition to connections from Milan Linate to Warsaw and Prague beginning in Q1 2014).
  • Thanks to the partnership with Brazilian airline GOL signed in July 2013, Alitalia offers a wide range of destinations connecting in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. For example, Alitalia and GOL offer connections to every city in Brazil that will host soccer World Cup matches to be held from June 12 to July 13, 2014.
  • Alitalia has planned and carried out approximately 1K charter and special flights

Alitalia Fleet Updates

  • In October 2013, the reconfiguration of 10 Airbus A330s commenced.
  • Overall seat capacity will go from 224 to 250: 20 Business Class (-8), 17 Premium Economy (-4), 213 Economy (+38). 
  • Alitalia operates one of Europe’s youngest fleets – 7 years average age.

Two Airlines-- Working Together: Trans-Atlantic Joint Venture

  • 32 peak-day nonstop flights between North America and the U.K.
  • 24 flights between London-Heathrow and popular U.S. destinations.
  • Full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access on every flight on both airlines. 
  • New schedule between JFK and LHR began on March 30, 2014.
